Introduction to Probability and Statistics at an Advanced Level  --  Statistics  (STAT) 200B [4 units]
Course Format: Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week.
Prerequisites: Multivariable calculus and one semester of linear algebra.
Credit option: Students will receive no credit for Statistics 200A-200B after taking Statistics 201A-201B.
Description: Probability spaces, random variables, distributions in probability and statistics, central limit theorem, Poisson processes, transformations involving random variables, estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, linear models, large sample theory, categorical models, decision theory.
