| Course Format: Two hours of lecture/discussion per week. | ||||
| Prerequisites: Graduate standing in Health Policy and Management or consent of instructor. | ||||
| Description: This course is designed as a first semester seminar for master's students in the Division of Health Policy and Management. The purposes of this course are fourfold: 1) to provide an overview of the U.S. medical and health care systems; 2) to provide an introduction to basic concepts and competencies in health policy analysis and health management; 3) to provide internship preparation and career development activities; and 4) to provide opportunities to develop relationships with 1st- and 2nd-year HPM students and with faculty, alumni, and healthcare leaders. | ||||
